When the Fenix warehouse opened its doors on Katendrecht in 1923, it was the largest warehouse in the world. After extensive renovation this building will host the city’s story of migration.




As of 2017, Dream and Deed is supporting the Kunsthal Rotterdam for several years in order to set up an international programme and thus improve the position of the Kunsthal as an international cooperation partner by organising one international exhibition per year.







The measures regarding COVID-19 continued in 2021. Especially in times like these there is a need for everything that artists have to offer: work that is ambitious and controversial, investigative and exciting or recognisable and reassuring.




The Batavierhuis is a house for talent development in Rotterdam. The focus is on music, with room for other art forms. A creative place where musicians, artists and other music related entrepreneurs meet curious people from Rotterdam.




The first premiere league of dance in the Netherlands, bringing the urban dance culture to a next level. A top level dance competition with performers who battle it out for a whole year to become the undisputed pro-champion.













What started in April 2020 as a writing assignment in support of young Rotterdam poets and spoken word artists culminated in a unique poetry gift for residents and visitors to the city.




The drone performance Franchise Freedom, by Studio DRIFT, flies out during Liberation Day 2020 to endorse the importance of two fundamentals of humanity: health and freedom.



















During the Rotterdam Art Week 2019, the Maastunnel becomes the Tunnel of Love, an underground experience that ends on 14 February, the birthday of this Rotterdam icon, and Valentine's Day!




Droom en Daad has made it possible for the renowned American dance company Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater to come to Rotterdam in 2019. The Holland Dance Festival and the Nieuwe Luxor theatre present a series of four performances, exclusive to the Netherlands and shown only in Rotterdam.
















Two dancers from Scapino Ballet had a dream: to organise an annual international choreography competition for duets with a production budget as the main prize. Droom en Daad made this prize available.




Workspace Walhalla, located in a former gym at the Tolhuisstraat in Katendrecht, is a small-scale staging and production house for professional talent development.
